Strava / Community Series

Brand / Strava Time / September - October 2025 Role / Associate Creative Director
For the 2025 New York City Marathon, we set out to spotlight the heartbeat of Strava - its community. Our goal was to showcase how Strava helps bridge that gap by connecting runners to local run clubs around the world, spaces where motivation, accountability, and belonging thrive.
Creative insight
Training for a marathon can often be an isolating experience, especially for those without a running partner or local network
Creative idea
Connect runners with local run clubs, highlighting community and a sense of belonging.
The execution
We spoke directly with run club leaders to uncover their personal journeys — the stories behind why they started their clubs, how these communities have transformed their own lives, and the powerful ripple effects they’ve had on others. The result was a heartfelt and authentic content series that celebrated connection through movement.
Run Club Stories represents one of Strava’s first original content series developed specifically for organic social. It marks a new chapter in how we tell stories on our owned channels, blending documentary-style storytelling with community-driven creativity. This initiative has laid the foundation for future series exploring the many ways people move, connect, and grow on Strava.
